Being born in Brazil, sports have always been part of my life. I practiced everything from tennis to swimming when I was younger, and I just loved watching sports on television with my family. In December 2017, I took a trip with my parents to Florida, and my dad decided to introduce me to "American Sports." We went to watch the Orlando Magic, Jacksonville Jaguars, and the Tampa Bay Lightning play. I can't quite explain it, but there was a certain buzz and excitement in the atmosphere that I couldn't get over. Watching the first hit, score, and touchdown was extremely fulfilling, and I immediately fell in love with every aspect of live sports.
In the Fall of 2021, I came to the United States to be a Division I Student-Athlete playing tennis at Liberty University. I started my studies in Sport Management and began to pursue opportunities that allowed me to have that same feeling when I sat in the stands of different Florida games. I've been blessed to find that passion in broadcasting and sports communications at Liberty. I have served as a Broadcast Crew Member, primarily working Graphics and Scorebug, for Liberty's ESPN+ broadcasts for multiple sports throughout my entire college career, while also working as an Athletic Media Manager for our Sports Information Department.
Learning to research athletes and teams, read stats, and write stories for both online platforms as well as developing them to be portrayed in a live broadcast have been an intense, yet extremely gratifying experience. As I continue to pursue a career in sports media, I hope to keep learning and growing while making an impact in the industry that I love!
